The joys, the sorrows, the high days and the low days. The little nudges and kicks as you progress through the months until the big day when your child enters into the world and takes their first breath.
Yet, after giving birth to four, I still have an uneasy feeling as we near the due date of our childs arrival. As many mothers all over the world already know, child birth and labor, is a daunting task. A task that can be quite overwhelming if you are not prepared for it.
If I Knew Then...
Our first three children were all born a week out from their due date which made things more frustrating. I was sitting in a hospital bed waiting and waiting, not knowing when I was going to be able to go home. With our first child, labor had to be medically induced which was less than pleasent. 13 hours of blood, sweat and tears later, we held our first child, Renae.
That's why, before our last child, I decided to do a little research into remedies to help induce labor and alleviate the aches and pains that go along with it, not to mention the time from inducing labor until birth.
Here's What I Found Out
Well, there are a ton of different ideas on how to induce labor floating around the Internet. Some I happened to read about were: bumpy car rides, light exercise, walking, nipple stimulation, and having sex. I had tried these methods but no success. There were some pretty crazy ones too like urinating on your pillow or jumping from trees, these seemed a little far fetched to me.
After searching for some time I was directed to an article about Acupressure Labor. I was astonished by the theory behind how these techniques worked and how simple they seemed to be. I was equally amazed by the amount of people who had tried and tested these techniques and had great success.
What Is Acupressure Labor?
I learned that by applying gentle pressure to certain parts of your body, much like a massage, you could encourage the body to respond in different ways. This also works excellently for pregnancy and labor. The Acupressure Labor method seemed to make sense to me and it was all natural. So I did a search to see where I could obtain a book or DVD that could show me and my husband the techniques.
A little googling and I found an e-book written by, Dr. Erin Dunbar, which explained everything about the acupressure labor techniques. I didn't hesitate to buy the book as I was three months to my due date with our fourth. As soon as I bought the book online I instantly had access to all of the information. And let me tell you, it changed my life from that day on.
Now, I won't tell you that everything went like a dream with no pain or waiting
that would be a lie. What the techniques did for me though was nothing short
of amazing.
After following the simple easy steps for inducing labor naturally, our fourth
child was born within the hour. As well as a short labor, I noticed the birth
was nowhere near as difficult as my previous children. I was less tired, having
less pain and afterward felt I could go home that day. Needless to say, I was
at home four hours later.
Let It Work For You
Like I said before, I understand pregnancy and feel strongly about these
techniques which is why I am writing this page with the hope that expecting
mothers have access to this life changing information. This guide is a must
have for anyone who wishes to avoid the outragous cost and physical discomfort of medical induction, analgesics, and even Cesarian Section.
The knowledge contained in, Dr. Erin Dunbars, Acupressure Labor book is very powerful and WILL make a huge diffence in your childbirth experience. You will gain the power to induce your labor and control pain naturally and easily and have a normal childbirth experience.
